​Merlin Hochmeier, born in the Upper-Austrian countryside, found his passion to music through bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down and KoRn. After some experience in his late schooldays in the Band Risted he moved to Vienna where also his musical travels took on another level.

Since 2015 he is the bassist of the Prog-Metal band Extreme Mind, and in 2019 he joined SoundDiary to support them on their musical journey from the low end.
